A Resource for Every Student
Salaam University has a main library that serves two complementary purposes: to support the curriculum and to support the research of the University Faculties and students.
The library has a comprehensive range of documents including books, manuscripts, journals, magazines, newspapers and more on various subjects. In order to organize this huge collection of documents, they are kept in different sections based on categorization: text book section, reference section, journal section, and thesis section.
Research has shown that the library is a positive influencing factor on students' academic success in higher education.

Library Rules
- 1The library is open to all Students, Faculty and Staff of SU.
- 2Readers are not allowed to enter the library with personal belongings.
- 3No reader shall write upon, damage or make marks on any library book.
- 4Students, teaching or administrative staff are allowed to borrow books.
- 5A reader who fails to return a book on the due date will be charged $0.50 per day as a fine until the book is returned.
- 6At the end of each semester, the student should return all books to the library. A clearance certificate (NO DUE) from the Librarian is required to register for the next semester.
- 7A book may be renewed for a further period of two weeks, provided no other reader has applied for the book and not more than two consecutive renewals are made for the same book.
- 8Reference books shall not be loaned.
