Study at Salaam University
The University combines impressive modern facilities and a dynamic approach to teaching and research. Salaam University strives for excellence in its teaching and research methods. Training is provided through personalized means and by highly qualified faculty staff. Undergraduate and Diploma courses are offered at the SU Campus located in Mogadishu.
Modes of Study
Full-Time
Usually undertaken by students who newly graduated from secondary schools.
Part-Time
Offered to mainly working professionals who are unable to attend full-time classes. These classes are usually run on the weekends.
Faculty of Health Sciences
Faculty of Health Sciences (HS) mainly runs to bring up Students equipped with knowledge, skills, and Research. The faculty is committed to fill the gap in Somali's Health System which has been collapsed during the civil war.
Faculty of Economics & Management Sciences
Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences was established in 2009. It consists of eight departments and trains qualified human resources in the fields of management, accountancy, and economics.
Faculty of Medicine & Surgery
Salaam University started the academic activity in 2009 as a medical school to help train local doctors and health workers. The faculty offers the combined Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree.
Faculty of Engineering & Technology
The Faculty of Engineering and Technology offers a cooperative undergraduate program leading to the degree of Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Computer Science and Bachelor of Information Technology.
Faculty of Sharia and Law
The Faculty of Sharia and Law was established in 2010 to achieve the goals of higher education in Somalia, and has opened the doors of study there since that date at the bachelor's level.
Faculty of Agriculture
Agriculture is the major source of agro-economic and livelihood for the majority of Somali people. The faculty is committed to academic excellence and provides students with practical trainings and research through experimental farms.
Faculty of Veterinary
The Faculty of Veterinary at Salaam University trains qualified veterinary professionals to support Somalia's pastoral economy and livestock sector, which is one of the country's most important economic activities.
Faculty of Education
The Faculty of Education trains qualified teachers and education professionals to address Somalia's urgent need for quality educators across all levels of the education system.
